Bill Robert has over 25 years of experience in the fields of environmental, industrial hygiene and safety. His current position is Manager of Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance for the Polyurethane Business at BASF Corporation in Wyandotte, Michigan. He is responsible for the Product Stewardship, BASF’s customer outreach program of the American Chemistry Council’s, Responsible CARE initiative. His group assists customers with EH&S issues in the Polyurethane Business within the NAFTA region. He has had a 23-year career at BASF Corporation and has held a variety of positions within the Polyurethane Business. He has also been employed by General Electric and ANR Pipeline in various EH&S roles. In addition, he has worked as a Lecturer at Oakland University for 13 years teaching a variety of industrial hygiene and emergency response courses. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan in Geology and a Master of Science Degree from Wayne State University in Occupational and Environmental Health. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and has been active in leadership roles with the Alliance for the Polyurethane Industry, the International Isocyanate Industry and the ACC Diisocyanates Panel. Bill is a member of the Michigan Industrial Hygiene Society and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
