Oakland University’s Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) office serves as the liaison between the university and corporate and private foundation funding sources. CFR seeks to develop mutually beneficial relationships to advance the university's mission.
As an OU partner, your organization will gain valuable visibility on campus as an employer, a community stakeholder and an important benefactor.
WHY IS PRIVATE FUNDING SO IMPORTANT?
Although Oakland University is a state institution, funding provided through state appropriations has significantly declined in recent years. Private support plays a critical role in ensuring that OU continues to fulfill its mission of teaching, research and service. Gifts and grants from corporations and foundations are vital to ensure that Oakland University will continue to educate future generations of leaders and positively impact the world through innovative ideas and programs.
