Shannon Esselink is the Director of Advising Services in the College of Arts & Sciences. She earned her Bachelors of Art in Psychology from Michigan State University and her Master in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. Shannon coordinates and oversees the office, advises students, and teaches COM 101. Her advice for students is "Connect with as many people as possible. Every contact enriches your life in multiple ways."

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Northern Michigan University, Master of Education in College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University, and her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Oakland University.

Matt is an Academic Adviser who earned his Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio and his Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University. In addition to advising Matt teaches COM 101 and is the advising representative to the O2O committee. Matt's advice to students is, "Make the most of your college experience both inside and outside the class! Be intentional in choosing your courses; select courses that are meaningful to you."

In addition to advising, Ann teaches COM 101 and co-chairs the Advising Week committee. Ann's advice for students is "Anyone can achieve whatever they want in life, but they need to work hard and not give up when life gets difficult."
