Since its inception in 2009, Oakland University's Bear Bus shuttle program has grown to include six shuttles, and now boasts a ridership has of nearly 17,000 rides per year. This number is only expected to grow throughout the 2013-14 academic year, when the shuttles will act as a support to the various construction projects taking place on OU's campus.
As a result of these construction projects, many of the traditional Bear Bus routes and hours of operation have either changed or expanded from the 2012-2013 academic year, and will continue to do so as needed to best serve the OU community. We have updated our web page with these various changes to provide the most up-to-date information to our riders, and we will continue our efforts to best communicate new initiatives by updating our website regularly.
Our goal is to provide the Oakland University Community with a positive transportation experience through pre-determined routes that run both on and off campus. You can take comfort in knowing our exceptional staff has been trained, certified, and licensed in the driving of commercial vehicles, the handling of emergency situations, and most importantly, providing an excellent customer service experience to the OU community.
