An Evening with David Finch New York Times Bestselling Author of "The Journal of Best Practices"
3/21/2013, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
A Memoir of Marriage, Asperger Syndrome, and One Man's Quest to Be a Better Husband
Though David and Kristen Finch had been friends since high school, it wasn't until after they married in 2003 that David's distinct behaviors and stunted social skills convinced Kristen that something was seriously wrong. In 2008 Kristen, a speech therapist, followed a hunch that led to David's being diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. In his new book, The Journal of Best Practices, David, a onetime audio engineer, chronicles his quest to be a better husband, father, and person, with Kristen helping him every step of the way. David Finch has been featured on NPR, in People Magazine, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, and in many other nationally-prominent radio shows and publications. This event is designed for anyone interested in learning about the challenges and happiness of living with Asperger’s Syndrome
