World Music Concert featuring Bernard Woma

Ngoma, African Xylophone Ensemble; Pan-Jumbies, Steel Drum Band and Pan-Jazz, Steel Drum Combo) featuring virtuoso African musician Bernard Woma. Bernard Woma's reputation as a composer and performer is surpassed only by his reputation as a teacher. Bernard has taught traditional Ghanaian drum and xylophone music to students throughout Africa, Europe and the United States. This past summer eleven Oakland University students traveled to Ghana for one month of study at Bernard Woma’s Dagara Music Center. Come to the show and hear what they learned from the master!
