Networking…Without the Awkward!
9/15/2014, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Both in medicine and academia, networking is an essential component of professional success. Physicians use their networks for consultation and assistance in managing their patients’ complex medical issues, their own practice management challenges, and for personal support. Strong networks provide academics with the support they need to achieve their research, grant writing, and publishing goals. However, being thrown into a room with a bunch of strangers and expected to interact is not everyone’s idea of a good time. At this event, Rena Seltzer will lead us in a structured activity that will work for everyone, whether introverted or outgoing. Rena will also share some networking tips that we will have a chance to try out during the dinner following the program.
