7/2011 - Chaunda L. Scott, associate professor of Human Resource Development, co-edited and co-authored a workforce diversity textbook, which will be introduced in October 2011. The textbook is entitled: "Workforce Diversity: Current and Emerging Issues and Cases," and will be published by SAGE Publications Inc.
4/2010 - Chaunda Scott, PhD and associate professor of education in the Human Resource Development Department, along with Judy Jacobs, PhD and visiting assistant professor, were awarded the Cutting Edge Award for Excellence in Research by the Academy of Human Resource Development Award Committee. The award was for their paper, "Workplace Violence-The Persistence of Hate Crimes: Implications for HRD." This paper was selected as one of the 10 best papers at the 2009 AHRD Internationals Conference of the Americas. Selection of these 10 papers is a lengthy process involving multiple reviews by numerous volunteers. Last year's conference included a large number of papers making this achievement especially significant. Dr. Scott and Dr. Jacobs were honored at the 2010 AHRD conference in Knoxville, Tennessee.
4/2009 - Chaunda L. Scott, associate professor and graduate coordinator in the department of Human Resource Development in the School of Education and Human Services, edited a special issue of the "International Journal of Human Resource Development and Management" titled, "Leveraging Workforce Diversity: Multiple Settings, Professions, Stratgies and Theoretical Prespectives."
3/2005 - Chaunda Scott, assistant professor of human resource development in the School of Education and Human Services, will present her research on "Racial Tension in an Urban Midwestern U.S. City: A Historical and Contempory Problem finds a Possible Solution," in March at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
