Welcome to our website dedicated to promoting the integration of apiary science and skills in schools. The science and art of beekeeping can be aligned with every curricular subject and grade level.

Apiculture is enjoying a renewed interest across the country. The number of hobbyist beekeepers (those who tend less than 25 hives) is growing in rural, suburban and urban regions. The number of Educational Apiaries is increasing with careful preparation and proper outfitting for those teaching and learning.

Beekeeping has been practiced for thousands of years. It is a perfect contribution to any effort toward gaining sustainable agriculture. The common honey bee (Apis mellifera) needs our stewardship. Explore this website to find out how you can assist this amazing insect.
