AP Assembly Committees

The AP Assembly is comprised of six committees with the task of helping all AP’s on campus. More information on all committees can their purpose can be found below. If you are interested in being part of an AP Assembly committee please fill out this form.

Communications Committee: The primary function of this committee is to convey information/communications from the AP Assembly Executive Board to the rest of the APs on campus. This is achieved primarily through the use of the AP Assembly website. Committee members send off an official letter of welcome to new AP’s, organize personal phone calls to new AP’s and disseminate via Facebook and an online newsletter.

Community Engagement Committee: This committee plans and handles fundraising and activities or merchandise sales promoting OU spirit among APs. They organize social and recreational events to facilitate AP socialization.

Professional and Personal Development Committee: The purpose of this committee is to develop and deliver meaningful informational programs to APs. Each year a diversified series is offered related to OU employees’ work environments or personal wellness. This committee collaborates with UHR for advertising, registration and evaluation.

Recognition Committee: The purpose of this committee is coordinate recognition for APs across the campus. They coordinate the Grand Idea Team Award, as well as plan the Spring AP Welcome and Outstanding AP Award.

Voice of the AP Committee: The purpose of this committee is to act as a sounding board and data gathering unit, getting the pulse of APs around campus. They work with APs on senate committees to bring updates back to the group, as well as pass along concerns from APs to those groups. They help disseminate information through the AP Assembly media outlets.

Nominations and Elections Committee: This committee, chaired by the Past-President, seeks nominations for, and administers the elections to both the Executive Board and AP Members-at-Large. This is achieved through the use of the University elections website and the AP Assembly listserv.
