Oakland University’s School of Education & Human Services’ Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) Initiative is excited to announce the 2014 Michigan SOGI Education Conference. This year’s conference will include full hour concurrent sessions and roundtable discussions focused on meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and intersex students, staff, faculty and administrators.The 2014 conference offers a full day complete with breakfast, lunch, and opportunities to reflect, network, and plan for the school year.

The Michigan SOGI Education Conference is a program of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) Initiative sponsored by the Oakland University School of Education and Human Services.

  • Teachers, School Counselors and School Psychologists can register for .6 State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs) approved by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).
  • Social Workers can register for 5.5 Continuing Education Hours (CE Hours) approved by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative.
