Michigan's most esteemed women to be honored at annual luncheon

Rochester, Mich. – Oakland University, the Crittenton Foundation and Chrysler Group LLC are joining the Dr. Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic in presenting a gala event to honor Michigan women who have positively impacted the lives of others through personal, volunteer and professional activities.

From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, the Fourth Annual Esteemed Women of Michigan awards luncheon will train the spotlight on a diverse group of 25 remarkable individuals who also inspire others to pursue challenges, achieve excellence and help improve the quality of life in their communities and beyond.

"Each year I am in awe at the dedicated and inspiring women of our state," said Pam Haratsis, executive director of the Dr. Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic. "I feel privileged to be a part of recognizing these women."

Set at the Royal Park Hotel at 600 E. University in Rochester, Mich., the event will support services at the clinic, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides health care to uninsured and under-insured clients. Because it relies solely on grants and fundraising to maintain operations, events such as the awards luncheon are critical to ongoing health care services in its service area.

Those interested in helping to honor this year's awardees and support the clinic can register to attend for $85 per person. Seating is limited, early registration is encouraged.

Organizations interested in helping to sponsor the event are able to do so for as little as $1,000. Additional information and online registration are available at Additional information is also available by calling (248) 630-4389 or by e-mailing to
