OU-Macomb
The Oakland Press reported on the latest Macomb County Business Climate Survey released by Oakland University-Macomb in conjunction with the Macomb Leadership Alliance and Leadership Macomb.

Cooley Law School
The Oakland Press reported on Cooley Law School's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration.

Anton/Frankel Center
The Macomb Daily reported on Oakland University's new bachelor's degree program in social work to be offered at the Anton/Frankel Center in Mount Clemens.

Medical Main Street
Crain's Detroit Business reported that last year Medical Main Street received commitments to invest a combined $185.2 million and add nearly 1,500 jobs – more than triple the total investment of the previous three years. Oakland University participates in this initiative, which is a unique alliance of world-class hospitals, universities and businesses in Oakland County.

Donation
The Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, Oakland Press, WWJ, Observer & Eccentric, Macomb Daily, Daily Tribune, Rochester Patch and other media outlets reported on a $21 million gift, which will be used to support Oakland's School of Engineering and Computer Science, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and OU women's golf team. Campus operational and capital needs will also be funded through the donation.

Free Health Clinics
The Oakland Press reported on the free health clinics provided by volunteers, including students from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Among the services offered were blood pressure checks, diabetes screenings and flu vaccinations.

Music Workshops
The Oakland County Prosper reported on a series of daylong music intensives offered by Oakland University's Department of Music Theatre and Dance which are designed to help students broaden their musical horizons.

Engineering 4-Pack
Oakland County Prosper reported on the personalized Productivity Improvement Graduate Certificate Program developed by Oakland University's Industrial and Systems Engineering Department. This flexible program is designed to meet the needs of engineering professionals in all fields.

All-Access OU Basketball
The Oakland Press reported on the new "All-Access" program to be aired on Fox Sports Detroit. The program will offer viewers an inside look at the OU men's basketball team.

Oakland Symphony
The Oakland Press reported on the Oakland Symphony Orchestra, an ensemble comprised of professional and semi-professional musicians, including many Oakland University students.

Greg Kampe
OU men's basketball coach Greg Kampe was featured in the Detroit Free Press regarding his induction into the OU Hall of Honor. He was also featured in several Oakland Press articles regarding the OU men's basketball team.

Beckie Francis
OU women's basketball coach Beckie Francis was quoted in the Oakland Press regarding her team's victory against North Dakota State University.

Miles Brown
Miles Brown, assistant professor of music, was featured in an Oakland Press article chronicling his passion for teaching and performing.

Thomas A. Discenna
Thomas A. Discenna, an OU communication professor, was featured in the Sudan Vision regarding a paper he co-authored exploring the differences between university administrators and faculty members in the context of a challenging environment.

Oakland University emeritus professor Dr. Geoffrey Brieger was quoted in the Oakland Press regarding a symposium devoted to helping the city of Pontiac.

MLK Celebration
The Oakland Press reported on Oakland University's 20th annual Keeper of the Dream Awards, honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Gender and Sexuality Conference
The Oakland Press reported on the first-ever statewide conference examining gender and sexuality issues in schools, colleges and universities. The event is sponsored by OU's School of Education and Human Services' Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Initiative Taskforce.

MLK Scholarship Winners
OU students Benjamin Eveslage, Subha Hanif and Tara Michener were featured in the Oakland Press as the recipients of 2012 Keeper of the Dream scholarships.

Formula SAE
The OU Society of Automotive Engineers Collegiate Chapter was featured on Examiner.com after showing off their formula style race cars at the North American International Auto Show.

Medical Students
Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine students Kimberly Lemkin and Jacquelyn Pastewski were featured in the Oakland Press for participating in a day of community service that offered free health clinics to people in need.

OU Swimmers
Vanessza Balough and Amr el Sayed were featured in the Oakland Press after being named Summit League Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week.
