Donation The Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, Oakland Press, WWJ, Observer & Eccentric, Macomb Daily, Daily Tribune, Rochester Patch and other media outlets reported on a $21 million gift, which will be used to support Oakland's School of Engineering and Computer Science, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and OU women's golf team. Campus operational and capital needs will also be funded through the donation.
Free Health Clinics The Oakland Press reported on the free health clinics provided by volunteers, including students from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Among the services offered were blood pressure checks, diabetes screenings and flu vaccinations.
