The Total Employee and Management Source (TEAMS)/PeopleAdmin System Integrates with the OU NetID Account System.
In an effort to streamline our login process to the Total Employee and Management Source (TEAMS)/PeopleAdmin system, the TEAMS system will be integrated with the OU NetID account system. This change will take effect shortly. For those of you who have access to the system, watch for an email advising you to this change.

When notified, you will log into the TEAMS system at https://jobs.oakland.edu/hr and you will enter the same NetID user name and password which you currently use for email. The system will use the same authentication from that point forward.

If you are a new employee, or current employee, who has not created an account, you can go to the TEAMS site noted above and create a new user account using your NetID user name and password. If you are a new employee, please note that this site is different from the applicant site and does require you to create a new user account.

SkillSoft: Essentials of Electronic Communication
Being that email has basically replaced many of the ways we used to communicate, it is imperative that we know how to communicate through email correctly. A study done in 1998 stated that 9.4 billion emails are exchanged per day and it is estimated that this number has probably tripled since then. We all know the benefits of sending emails but the tone, content, validity and protection of the email are all important factors that need to be considered. When sending personal information, encryption should be added to emails for security purposes.

Emails can and are used in the court of law, so it is important that our content always be appropriate.  I never knew that you could get in serious trouble for sending your friend an email that was between the two of you; Ill be sure to send jokes to a personal email now. This course through SkillSoft reiterated the importance of professionalism at all times and I can guarantee has changed the way messages will leave my outbox.
