Lunch & Launch speaker to offer valuable insight on employment law

Sterling Heights, Mich. – The Macomb-OU INCubator is inviting business leaders to attend the next Lunch & Launch event on Thursday, May 2, where they will learn key legalities as employers.

Jim Rosenfeld, shareholder with Butzel Long, will conduct a presentation titled "10 Things Every Employer Should Know." Rosenfeld notes that misconceptions about the law and misunderstandings about compliance often result in perennial problems and repetition of legal missteps for employers. This workshop will explore some of the most common labor and employment law mistakes, which involve wage and hour issues, discrimination statutes and recordkeeping.

Rosenfeld practices in and serves as manager of Butzel Long's Labor and Employment Practice Group. He has extensive experience in litigating a wide variety of labor and employment cases, including trial and appellate work in both state and federal court. He also has experience negotiating collective bargaining agreement, and handling labor arbitrations and hearings before the National Labor Relations Board.

Rosenfeld is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1986) and Harvard College (A.B., 1981, magna cum laude). He is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in Labor and Employment and has been ranked by Chambers USA.

This free lecture, set for noon to 1 p.m. at the Macomb-OU INCubator, will include a question and answer period. This event is sponsored, with a complimentary lunch, by MangoTree Capital.
