National Science Foundation The Associated Press, Detroit News and Rochester Citizen reported on Oakland University faculty members who recently secured more than $1.6 million in grant funding from the National Science Foundation to establish the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program. The scholarships allow math and science professionals to enroll in the Master of Arts in teaching program with tuition and other expenses covered.

Dual Enrollment The Oakland Press, Rochester Citizen, Crain's Detroit Business reported on the new Oakland 2 Oakland program that will allow students to be admitted for classes at both Oakland University and Oakland Community College. The joint-enrollment program will be available starting in January 2011.
Nursing Programs The Oakland Press reported on two innovative and convenient nursing programs offered entirely online. The RN to BSN and RN to MSN programs are designed to help nurses with a diploma or associate's degree broaden their scope of practice, enhance job opportunities and increase earnings potential.
