Adul Kalam
The Detroit Free Press and Oakland Press reported on former Indian President Adul Kalam's visit to campus Sept. 17. Kalam stressed the need for cooperation and tolerance in solving global challenges such as climate change, poverty and terrorism.

Move-in Day
The Oakland Press reported on the much-anticipated move-in day for thousands of new and returning students excited to start the semester. The article highlighted several student-focused activities and initiatives, including Welcome Week, the newly created Bike Share program and the many amenities available to campus residents.

Wild Game Dinner
