Experts to analyze 2012 election results during Campaign Roundup
Rochester, Mich. – After the polls close on Nov 6, Oakland University will host a Campaign Roundup event to discuss the results of the 2012 local, state and presidential elections.
Political practitioners, pollsters, campaign finance experts and journalists will sort through the impacts of the results, as well as what they will mean moving forward. Panelists will include Chuck Stokes from WXYZ-TV, Christy McDonald from Detroit Public Television, Rich Robinson from the Michigan Campaign Finance Institute, Bernie Porn from the polling firm EPIC-MRA and Terri Towner, assistant professor of political science at Oakland University.
Panel members will offer keen perspectives on how campaign decisions and circumstances influenced the outcomes of the election cycle, as well as how these outcomes will impact public policy and government in the coming years.
The event is set for 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, in the Oakland Center Gold Rooms on the campus of Oakland University. The event is free and open to the public.
