OU INC client companies win DiSciTech awards from Corp! Magazine
Rochester, Mich. – Scientel Information Technology, Inc., and cureLaucher, LLC – both client companies of OU Inc. – have been presented with Corp! Magazine's 2013 Michigan DiSciTech Awards.

Both were recognized in the Science and Technology category, which honors companies that have proven to enhance their enterprises through innovation, research, applied science and digital technology.

Scientel's fully developed, field-proven NoSQL database management system – GENSONIX™ Enterprise – for Big Data can compete on a technical basis with the likes of IBM and Oracle when it comes to primary database management systems' design and integration advantages, including speed, comprehensiveness, robustness and cost-effectiveness.

Scientel is a U.S.-based, international, systems technology company that not only supports U.S. and Canadian customers, but also has Asian-sphere development capabilities in Taiwan and India. It also designs and produces highly optimized, high-end servers that allow the company to be a single-source supplier of complete systems for Big Data environments and related applications, such as advanced business intelligence and data analytics.

"I am proud that our company has been selected as one of the winners of the 2013 Corp! DiSciTech awards," said Scientel President and CEO Norman T. Kutemperor.

"In our case, this award is an important step towards helping to make businesses aware of the challenges of Big Data that are looming, and what Scientel can do to make sure businesses grow and remain competitive by dealing with the Big Data 'tsunami', instead of being swamped by it."

CureLauncher seeks out and assists patients interested in enrolling in clinical trials that can potentially save their lives. In the process, the company also translates complex medical terminology into easy-to-understand English and provides staff to answer user questions at no charge.

"We are thrilled that our Bloomfield Hills, Mich., company is leading this initiative in start-up medical company development, leveraging our years of experience with National Institutes of Health sponsored world class research," CureLauncher founder and President Stephen Goldner said.

Vice President David Fuehrer added, "CureLauncher addresses the tremendous desire of easy access for people to find clinical trials, while also providing reliable patients for the clinical trial sites."

Amy Butler , OU INC's, executive director, congratulated both of the winners. "This is a significant accomplishment for our two businesses to be recognized by Corp! Magazine as leaders in the science and technology field. They represent the diversity and advanced technologies that our businesses have developed," she said.
