OUWB School of Medicine welcomes new fundraising executive
Rochester, Mich. – The Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine has welcomed Richard F. Kelley of Birmingham to serve as its senior director of development.

In this capacity, Kelley will be responsible for planning and overseeing all fundraising activities for the School of Medicine. These efforts are designed to support OUWB's mission of enabling students to become skillful, ethical and compassionate physicians, as well as inquisitive scientists. Support for the school also helps it lead in promoting, maintaining and restoring health to individuals and communities served by the school and its graduates.

With a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Michigan State University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Detroit Mercy, Kelley began his career in client account management positions with Ford Motor Credit Company and Sun Microsystems.

He subsequently gained extensive major gift fundraising experience through leadership positions with the University of Detroit Mercy's School of Law and College of Business Administration, and with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Immediately prior to joining Oakland, Kelley served as executive director of advancement, alumni relations and continuing dental education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
