PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT PROCESS NEWS
We are nearing the end of the performance cycle for all non-bargained employee groups. Following are a few time management tips to prepare you for the upcoming performance evaluations:
  • Take a look at the goals you and your supervisor set for the 2013-14 cycle. Finish up any additional work needed to accomplish the goals by March 31st.
  • Start making notes on goals you may want to include for the 2014-15 cycle.*
  • Begin gathering facts on the accomplishments of your job duties, major achievements and challenges you faced in the last 12 months.
  • Being prepared ahead of time will make for a smooth process in April when the evaluation will be due.
*Note: This will be the final evaluation in the current TEAMS system. It is important that you NOT begin a new evaluation in the current TEAMS system. Create and maintain your 2014-15 goals in a word document. Training and additional information will be forthcoming in the next several weeks as the new PeopleAdmin system is introduced.

Even though every project is unique, they all have certain attributes in common. Existing project managers wishing to get certified in recognition of their skills and experience, or others who wish to train to become accredited project managers can develop a foundational knowledge base reflecting the most up-to-date project management information. Learners will also be introduced to the fundamental source of information for project management professionals: the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) published by PMI®. The course will identify key project management concepts and terms, explore the PMBOK® Guide, and the project management Knowledge Areas This course will assist in preparing the learner for the PMI® certification exam. Programs are available for Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
