African American Celebration 2014 begins Monday, January 20 with the Keeper of the Dream Awards Celebration at 11:30 am in the Banquet Rooms, Oakland Center. The month long celebration concludes on Thursday, February 20 at 11:30 a.m. with our Closing Ceremony, Do you Remember the Time?, in Gold Rooms B & C, Oakland Center.

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES!

Become an OU Student Leader! We are looking for students who want to be leaders and representatives of Oakland University! Attend an info share to learn how to become a CMI Peer Mentor or Orientation Group Leader (OGL). The application deadline is Friday, January 31 by 5:00 p.m. so don't wait!

Our final info share will take place on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 5-6pm in the Oakland Room, Oakland Center.

2014 WILSON AND HUMAN RELATIONS AWARDS

It is time to begin the selection process for the 2014 Matilda R. Wilson/Alfred G. Wilson and Human Relations Award!  The Wilson Awards were established in 1965 and recognize one female and one male graduating senior who have contributed as scholars, leaders, and responsible citizens to the Oakland University Community. For more information or to access the nomination forms, visit http://www.oakland.edu/dean_awards. All nominations must be returned by Monday, February 10, 2014, to the Dean of Students Office, 144 Oakland Center.
