Strubler, David and Ann
David and Ann Strubler describe how they converted a centennial barn on their Oakland Township property into a unique Music and Art Barn to support and showcase local musicians and artists. David Strubler is a professor at Kettering University and Ann Strubler is a violinist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. David has lived in Rochester Hills for over five decades and graduated from Rochester High School. This oral history was recorded at the Strubler home on March 8, 2010. Recorded by Cornelia Pokrzywa. Packard, Sandra
Sandra Packard, Professor, Educational Leadership, served as Oakland University's only female president from 1992-1995. In this oral history, she discusses her experiences as President and her teaching career. This oral history was conducted by Samantha D. Dropps, Rachel and Surratt, Stanley
Daughter Rachel Dropps and father Stanley Surratt have worked together at the Silk Worm in downtown Rochester for over 15 years. Surratt purchased the store in 2001 and after 10 years are selling the store to new owners. Dropps and Surratt tell about the Silk Worm's history as well as some of their most treasured memories of the store. Recorded by Danielle Sautter. Run time 25:43.
