Strubler, David and Ann
David and Ann Strubler describe how they converted a centennial barn on their Oakland Township property into a unique Music and Art Barn to support and showcase local musicians and artists. David Strubler is a professor at Kettering University and Ann Strubler is a violinist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. David has lived in Rochester Hills for over five decades and graduated from Rochester High School. This oral history was recorded at the Strubler home on March 8, 2010. Recorded by Cornelia Pokrzywa. Braidwood, Jackie
Jackie Braidwood moved to Rochester when she was a young girl. She praises the community as a great place to raise her family, and talks about her work within the OPC outreach program. Jackie had always wanted to sing and dance and was able to try out for the first time through the OPC. She now sings and dances several times a week. Recorded by Timothy Briggs. Run time 7:53.
