Wilkins, Cliff
Cliff Wilkins and his wife Kay Ellen have been directors of the Rochester Conservatory of Music for 25 years. In this oral history, recorded at the conservatory on Third Street in downtown Rochester on February 24, 2010, Cliff Wilkins shares stories about the conservatory's history, community involvement, and two generations of musicianship. Stringer, Barbara and Wisniewski, Michelle
In a joint interview, Barbara Stringer and Michelle Wisniewski, outreach librarians, share their experiences going out into the community in the RHPL Bookmobile. The Bookmobile was intended to equalize access to all citizens and was funded by the Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library. Wisniewski and Stringer share stories about Bookmobile patrons ranging in age from preschoolers to senior citizens, who make it a point to visit the Bookmobile on regular stops. The Bookmobile’s circulation continues to grow, making an important and visible impact on Rochester citizens. Recorded by Laura Gabrion in the RHPL Bookmobile on April 1, 2010. Run time 14:48.

Sealy, Alice Gyldholm
Alice Gyldholm Sealy moved to Rochester in 1984 and worked at the Dinosaur Hill Nature Center, first as a volunteer and later as a naturalist. In an oral history recorded at the OPC Senior Center on May 27, 2010, Sealy shares her own history and memories about Dinosaur Hill, the Danish Village retirement community, and the OPC Senior Center as well as founding stories about Rochester she gathered as a part of a local history program. This interview was conducted by Oakland University students DJ Boyd and Alex Nardelli. Run time 20:42.

Fogler, Joan
Joan Fogler, longtime Rochester resident, shares an oral history that covers her early days as a waitress at the historic Red Knapp's Dairy Bar to her current position as Oakland Township Supervisor. Fogler's years in Rochester include a memorable stint as the creator of the famous Red Knapp's Malt recipe, weekends working at the Fogler family farm, and a lifetime of community service.
