OU Moment

Inside a Varner Hall dressing room, acting student Patrick Butcher applies eyeliner before My-Ishia Cason-Brown’s Music, Theatre and Dance Department performance as Gold in “Colored Girls.” Butcher and Cason-Brown are among the more than 1,500 OU students taking courses in the performing arts. The department’s enrollment has nearly tripled since 1995. Each year, the faculty, students and guest artists present more than 50 performances.
