Evelyn M. Gehres SEHS '63 is vice president and chief operations officer for Presbyterian Homes of New Jersey Foundation.

James Isler CAS '63 and his wife Marti returned in October after a 16-month sabbatical sailing from Essex, Conn., to the island of Antigua and back. The two traveled more than 5,500 miles at five miles an hour.

Betty Youngblood CAS '65 is the newly appointed president of Lake Superior State University.

Jeffry Koehler CAS '68 publishes the Put-in-Bay Gazette, a monthly newspaper serving the Lake Erie Islands.

Bill Wrenn CAS '70 is a commercial photographer, freelance writer and city councilman in Norwalk, Conn. In 2002, he made an unsuccessful bid for Connecticut's state senate.

Michael H. Emmons CAS '71 recently retired from the insurance industry.

Dennis Kanka CAS '71 retired from General Motors in April after nearly 25 years in transportation and logistics. He is currently working on logistics support for blood distribution and disaster recovery with the American Red Cross.

Stephen Rubin CAS '71 was elected Secretary of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges at the annual meeting in Boston. On the bench since 1987, Rubin was in his fifth year as a trustee of the Council when elected.

Michael Jahn SECS '72 works as a program manager for GRA-MAG, a Magna joint venture company in Novi, Mich.

Caroline (Lind) Stern SEHS '72 recently completed her doctorate in instructional design and information literacy. Her most recent publications include a chapter in an anthology for Kluwer Publishing in the Netherlands and another chapter for a UNESCO anthology authored by world experts on information literacy. Stern is a distinguished professor of composition at Ferris State University.

Susan M. Justice SEHS '73, MAT '77 moved to Calif. in 1982 and started her first business, Computerized Business Administration in 1985. In 1993, she formed Justice and Associates, which provides environmental consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. In 2001, she started a personal fitness and spin studio.

Joseph Fleming SEHS '74 is vice president of Providian Financial.

Richard Hubbard CAS '74 is a tenured professor of psychology at Indiana University and a licensed clinical psychologist.

John Darin SBA '75 recently relocated his family to southeast Florida where he is now employed as a financial adviser with Morgan Stanley.

Jeffrey M. Krauth CAS '75 is owner and president of Horticultural Services Inc. in Waterford, Mich. He recently celebrated his 25th anniversary as a landscape contractor and horticulturist. His company received the Gold Award for residential landscape design and construction from the Michigan Green Industry Association.

Holly (Remy) Ocasio Rizzo CAS '77 is on the part-time journalism faculty at California State University, Fullerton. She is also a freelance writer and editor after 25 years full-time at daily newspapers, most recently the San Francisco Chronicle.

Evelyn (Marosi) Hart CAS '79 opened her own law practice with an emphasis on immigration law in Fullerton, Calif.

Dennis Kasprowicz CAS '79 has been employed with Ford Credit as a finance and insurance consultant and in various marketing positions. He currently teaches dealership employees on the FORDSTAR Satellite Network.

Frances C. Amos SBA '80 won a spot on the Michigan legislature in the November 2002 elections. She now serves as a state representative in Michigan's new 43rd District, which includes all of Waterford Township, Lake Angelus and 4 precincts of West Bloomfield.

Vic Buhay BSE '80 recently moved his family back to Michigan from Houston, Texas. He will be teaching college-level classes in Grand Rapids this fall.

Beth S. Gotthelf CAS '80 joined the Michigan law firm of Butzel Long as a shareholder. She practices in the areas of environmental law and regulation. Gotthelf represents and counsels a diverse mix of clients in numerous environmental matters throughout the country.

Margaret (Murley) Hoffman SBA '80, MBA '85 was recently named vocational business education chair at Citrus High School in Inverness, Fla. She teaches accounting and computer classes and has administrative responsibilities over the business, drafting, agriculture, home economics and ROTC departments.

Eva K. Packard MA '80 is the recipient of the Women of Wayne Headliner Award and the Michigan Governor's Honor Roll based on voter service activities for the League of Women Voters, Oakland area.

Ann L. Wiles MBA '80 is a full-time independent French translator specializing in medicine, pharmaceuticals and business. She earned a Certificate of Proficiency in French-English translation from Georgetown University in 2001.

Dawn Duross SECS '81 was recently promoted to operations director of federal channels at Cisco Systems, Inc. She and her husband Gary Mackintosh live in Reston, Va.

Randy Grobelny CAS '81 owns his own insurance adjusting company, Washington Claim Service, in Shelby Township, Mich.

Christine E. Wyatt MBA '81 was ordained a deacon in the United Methodist Church in May 2002 by Bishop Linda Lee. Deacons are called upon to connect the church to the workplace.

Donald Koleber CAS '82 is owner of LogoLite, a business that provides lighting, audio and full production for concerts, corporate events and specialty applications. Richard D. Kuhn Jr. CAS '82 was elected to the 51st District Court in Waterford Township, Mich., on Nov. 5, 2002. Richard and his wife have three daughters and are lifelong residents of the Waterford area.

James Westcott SBA '82, MBA '89 was named general manager of Somerset Collection in July 2002.

John M. Bomarito SBA '83 serves as an account executive for new business development for the Detroit offices of ITA Group, a performance marketing company.

Michael Landry SBA '83 is employed as a chiropractor in private practice in Melbourne, Australia.

David Nacy SECS '83, MSE '89 was recently hired as the designing engineer project manager at General Motors Information Systems & Services operations.

Pamela Lyons Dorris SEHS '84 has been chosen to participate in the Phoenix, Arizona-based National Institute for Leadership Development's Leaders, an international program for administrators and faculty members in higher education. The year-long program is designed to enhance the skills that participants need to assume major decision-making roles at their institutions.

Geraldine Kelly CAS '85 launched Mediabuz Communications, a Chicago-based public relations consulting business in April of 2001.

Kevin Wright CAS '85 is president and founder of Wright Communications, Inc., a Troy-based marketing communications/commercial printing firm that celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2002.

Hermina C. "Bobbie" Baker MA '86 was interviewed on the Today Show on Oct. 15, 2002. Bobbie is a counseling contributor for the Ladies Home Journal article "Can This Marriage Be Saved?"

Dave Fortner SECS '86 joined Ross Mortgage Corporation as director of information technology.

Jennifer Young CAS '86 is a development officer for Wayne State University's Alumni Relations offices. She also has a freelance technical writing and editing business, JY Wordcraft.

Tim Zipple SHS '86 is currently an assistant professor at Central Michigan University in the graduate program in Physical Therapy. He completed a manual therapy residency in 1992 and was board certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist in 1993. He is currently enrolled in OU's physical therapy doctoral program.

Timothy J. Carless SBA '87 has been promoted to partner in the assurance and advisory business services practice at Ernst & Young LLP in Detroit. A certified public accountant, he is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of CPAs.

Marcia L. Hudson SEHS '87 is a teacher in the Avondale School District. She has been recognized in the Excellence in Education Awards Program and was Avondale Schools Teacher of the Year in 1997. Founder of the Stars Looping Program at Auburn Elementary, she was listed in the 2002 edition of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."

Donald W. Korn SBA '88 joined AmSouth Bank as Director of Nonprofit Services in the Investment Management Group. AmSouth is a regional bank with branches in Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

Tanghe CAS '88, MPA '90 is assistant city manager and director of human resources for the City of Auburn Hills, Mich.

Matthew Basham CAS '89 is the program director for the largest CISCO Regional Networking Academy in the world at St. Petersburg College. He was recently invited to participate as a panel member on the Cybersecurity Education in Colleges discussion in Washington, D.C., and published a textbook titled Learning by Doing: CCNA 3.0. He is also pursuing his doctorate.

Glen Foldessy CAS '90 recently accepted a position with GMAC Residential as marketing communications manager. He was elected to board of directors of the Public Relations Society of America-Detroit for a three-year term. PRSA-Detroit recently honored Foldessy with a distinguished service award for fundraising efforts that benefit the student scholarship fund. He also earned APR accreditation from PRSA.

Stacey (Coulston) Hoyle SEHS '91 has been a teacher in Houston for the past 11 years. She married Jay Hoyle 6 years ago. The couple has a 4-year-old daughter named Rachel.

Michael Cartwright CAS '92 recently returned to Michigan with his wife and two children after earning a promotion with Ford Motor Company at the Romeo Engine Plant.

Eve Haug CAS '92 earned a Bachelor of Nursing from Wayne State University in 1998 and in May 2002 completed a Master of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University Nurse Practitioner Program.

John Honos CAS '92 is vice president of marketing and public relations at ICR Services, Inc. in Livonia, Mich.

Patty Baker SON '93 is working on stroke care in an intensive care unit in the Portland area, where she lives with her husband and 14-year-old son. Prior to living in Portland, she lived in Australia and England, working in both private and national health services.

Tracy (Pifer) Kittel SHS '93 and her family have recently returned to Mich. from Roanoke, Va. She is working for Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Esther M. Coleman SEHS PhD '94 was promoted to associate professor and Chair of the Education Unit at Marygrove College in Detroit.

Pamela (Schleicher) Anderson SBA '95 and her husband Bruce are owners of Moehring-Woods Flowers in Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.

James Ureel CAS '95 recently joined the Southfield, Mich., offices of London-based information technology company Logica as an XML Software quality assurance specialist.

Staci Carr CAS '96 graduated from Harvard School of Education in 1998 with a master's degree in Human Development and Psychology. She has been working in the field of developmental disabilities and is currently a clinical program coordinator at the Autism Center of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Tanya M. Murnock SHS '96 is currently a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. She was recently deployed for six months to U.S. Marine Forces Central Command on the island kingdom of Bahrain while assigned to Marine Forces Pacific, Camp Smith, Hawaii. During her tour in the Persian Gulf, she supported the Marine Corps' mission in the command's area of responsibility.

Rayissa (Slywka) Palmer CAS '96 accepted a position at Bank of America in Charlotte, N.C., as assistant vice president, brand specialist with the Brand & Advertising team. She and her husband Adam moved to Charlotte in 2001 and are enjoying warm winters playing tennis and golf.

Sandra (Mastromatteo) Adamo SBA '97 received her MBA from Wayne State University in December 2001. She is a loan officer at Standard Federal Bank in Troy, Mich.

Michael S. Brown SBA '97 is a manager in the Global Strategic Clients Program at the national office of Deloitte & Touche in Wilton, Conn. He is married and has a one-year-old daughter.

Diane Michele MA '97 is president of the Michigan Association for Spiritual, Ethical and Religious Values in Counseling. She also serves as an international adviser/regional steward for the International Network of Attitudinal Healing.

Lynn Tingley CAS '97 graduated from Illinois State University with a Master of Arts in developmental psychology.

Paul A. Brown SBA '98 accepted a controller position with Form Tech Concrete Forms, Inc. in Wixom, Mich.

Jill M. Ferrari SHS '98 joined the law firm of Dean & Fulkerson in Troy, Mich., as an associate in the real estate and environmental law and litigation practice groups.

Tierra L. Stamps SECS '98 received a master's degree in engineering science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in December 2002. She works as a general supervisor/facilities management representative with General Motors Corporation in Livonia, Mich.

Jeffrey R. Vogel CAS '98 has been named Campbell-Ewald's 2002 Employee of the Year for his exemplary leadership and exceptional service to the Campbell-Ewald enterprise throughout the year.

Melissa M. Zetouna CAS '98 works as a diagnostic technician and has been a volunteer for Project Healthy Living for several years. She will be attending University of Detroit Mercy Physician Assisting Program in the fall.

Markeeta Burr MAT '99 is a third grade teacher at Courville Elementary School in Detroit.

Jennifer Morford MBA '99 made a career change from General Motors Field Sales, Service & Marketing to Eli-Lilly Pharmaceutical Sales in February 2003.

Thomas J. Murphy SBA '99 graduated from University of Detroit Mercy Law School in May.

Michael Ortschied MBA '99 is a senior consultant with Deloitte & Touche.

Bobi (Schlachter) Pickering SON '99 is a registered nurse at William Beaumont Hospital.

Karen Stahl CAS '99 received a Master's degree in library science with a specialty in archives, records and information management from the University of Maryland, College Park. She currently works as an internet/reference librarian as a contractor for ASRC Aerospace, Inc. at the EPA Library in Washington, D.C.

Sarah Lehman CAS '01 has been named assistant account executive at Franco Public Relations Group, a Detroit-based public relations agency. In this position, she provides public relations service and support to a variety of Franco clients including Dearborn's Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, The Heat and Warmth Fund and Michigan Boating Industries Association.

Melissa Little SON '01 is a staff registered nurse at the Henry Ford Hospital trauma/transplant unit. She is also a graduate student at Madonna University in the adult primary care nurse practitioner program.

Heather Marson SEHS '01 is a sixth-grade teacher at Wolfe Middle School in Center Line, Mich.

Paula McClure CAS '01 is teaching college prep English, reading and writing at a local community college. She plans to begin graduate work in 2003.

Steven Roberts SBA '01 was recently promoted to terminal manager with Cassens Transport Company in Princeton, Ind.

Jeff Theisen CAS '01 accepted a job as a sportswriter with The Daily Union in Junction City, Kan.

Karrie Alexander CAS '02 is a marketing analyst for a Tier 1 automotive supplier.

Ke Ma SECS PhD '02 is working in China for First Heavy Industries as vice chief engineer in charge of the company's IT development, tech center development and CAD/CA/CAPP/PDM applications.

Tara Revyn CAS '02 recently accepted a position as a financial adviser at Morgan Stanley in Troy, Mich. She has earned her Series 7, Series 63 and Series 31 licenses and registrations.
