Darrell Hammond brought his bitingly funny political satire to the Oakland Center on Sept. 10, giving his now famous dead-on impressions of President Bush and cabinet members to a crowded house. The well-known "Saturday Night Live" comedian appeared at Oakland as part of the College of Arts and Sciences Presidential Leadership initiative. His appearance was sponsored by the Student Program Board, which held several events in support of the presidential leadership theme. Other speakers on campus this fall included Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin and political strategists James Carville and Mary Matalin.
