Sophomore Courtney McCracken has a lot to smile about. A sophomore forward from Farmington Hills, she appeared in 13 matches this past season. Last year, she tied for second on the team with four goals and was a Golden Grizzlies Excellence in Academics honoree. This year, the Golden Grizzlies women’s soccer team won a share of the Mid-Continent Conference regular season championship for the fifth time in the program’s history. McCracken, a communications major, has been playing soccer since grade school. “Being on the Oakland team is like having a second family,” she says.
