Educational Technology provides students anytime access to online libraries, course content and self-assessment tools. It provides students the freedom to study wherever and whenever they want. Educational technology optimizes learning opportunities by providing asynchronous access to preparatory, review, and supplementary educational material.

Training Self-Directed and Knowledgeable Medical Professionals

The Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine will use Educational Technology to train medical professionals to develop the twin skills of self-direction and life long learning along with the ability to critically review new information. Faculty members are using this technology to maximize the amount of class time devoted to teaching novel content, revisiting complex concepts, and minimizing the amount of time required to review prerequisite material.
