Student Laptop Program

Instructional technology is considered essential in the education process. Students will use computers for virtual microscopy, to gather evidence during small group learning exercises, and to access the online learning system (Moodle).

Therefore, it is vitally important that all medical students have access to portable computing devices and that these devices that can be supported by School of Medicine staff.

Students of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine will receive a 13 inch MacBook Pro for their use throughout their experience here, in the School of Medicine. These laptops will include a 4-year warranty.

Students will have the opportunity to buyout the computers at minimal cost upon graduation. Those who will not be graduating are required to return the MacBooks.
