Applicants should arrange for official transcripts and letters of recommendation (two for Master's programs and three for the Ph.D. program) to be sent directly to the Office of Graduate Study. International students must also submit GRE and TOEFL scores. Only after an application file has been completed is it forwarded to the Department of Mathematics and Statistics for its consideration. Students who wish to register for courses before being admitted to a program should indicate at the time of application that they wish to be placed in "Special Graduate" status while their file is being processed. A student is permitted to register for at most 12 credits prior to regular admission to a program.
