Business Benefits

ELI Business Benefits
Business sponsor gain value

In sponsoring an Experiential Learning and Innovation (ELI) project, businesses will receive a full solution to their defined business project. The students work in teams, as appropriate, under the coordination of faculty adviser(s) and in direct consultation with a project mentor. Sponsors define project parameters, including the estimated number of hours for completion.

Depending on the project scope, sponsoring organizations work with OU’s SBA to determine the level of project support and financial commitment required – from defined options that provide support from 10 hours a week over 15 weeks (one semester) up to 20 hours per week over 30 weeks (two semesters) to custom options where the sponsoring organization defines the hours and weeks required. Regardless of the level of sponsorship, each sponsor receives the following benefits:

·         Contributing to the direct education and mentoring of a graduate student through a value-driven opportunity

·         Partaking in a collaborative learning opportunity with OU faculty, students and other corporate sponsors

·         Previewing the next generation of business leader talent pool

·         Exploring and implementing new innovations and ideas

·         Receiving 300 to 600 hours of hands-on project support from an ELI participant
