The Center for Integrated Business Research and Education (CIBRE) at Oakland University’s School of Business Administration connects business professionals, students and academics to address and shape the future of business research and business education locally, regionally and globally.
The CIBRE provides a place where business leaders, researchers, professionals and students come together to share resources, ideas and identify actions to address organizational issues, educate current and future professionals, and support economic development in the community, and the world.
Through its inter- and cross-disciplinary approach, CIBRE equips businesses in multiple sectors with in-depth expertise and partnership on such critical issues such as hiring and training professionals, starting up or expanding the marketplace, retooling to remain competitive and much more.
SBA’s CIBRE harnesses the strength of years of collaborative cross-disciplinary applied research projects to create a laser focus on research that solves today’s business problems and helps businesses prepare for tomorrow’s challenges. Building on existing partnerships and past cross-disciplinary projects that link information technology, human resource management, business strategy and health care management, CIBRE applied research projects matter to business and influence education – regionally and globally.
Through CIBRE connections, the impact of this work will expand to other universities, businesses and disciplines throughout the world. New research projects will begin based on CIBRE partners identifying current challenges and forecast coming trends. With partnerships in more than 17 countries, the opportunities for international research, virtual collaboration, partnership activities and faculty/student exchanges are tremendous.
With a focus on integrating three key areas – research, education, and professional and community education, CIBRE at OU’s School of Business Administration helps business today, while looking ahead to prepare for, and influence, the future.
