1.  Motion from the Steering Committee to approve the
Bachelor of Science Program in Information Technology, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering and Computer Science (Mr. Licker)

MOVED that the Bachelor of Science Program in Information Technology be approved.

First reading: Debatable, amendable but not eligible for final vote at this meeting.

2. Procedural motion from the Steering Committee to appoint a Senate representative to attend meetings of the Board of Trustees. (Mr. Lepkowski)

MOVED that Lynne Williams (Health Sciences) be appointed as a Senate representative to attend Board of Trustees meetings through summer 2005.

Comment: Lynn Williams replaces Kathy Moore. James Cipelewski continues as a Senate representative through summer 2005.

Procedural motion: Debatable, amendable, and eligible for final vote.

3.  Procedural motion from the Steering Committee to staff standing committees (Mr. Russell)

MOVED that Madeline Kissock (Linguistics) be appointed Chair of the General Education Committee for winter term 2005.

Comment: This is a sabbatical replacement for Dagmar Cronn.

Procedural motion: Debatable, amendable, and eligible for final vote.

4.  Procedural motion from the Steering Committee to staff General Education Subcommittees. (Ms. Williams)

MOVED that the persons listed below be appointed to various subcommittees of the General Education Committee through August 2006.

Comment: The General Education Committee has recruited these volunteers to assist in the labor intensive process of reviewing proposals for new and revised courses for the new general education program. Regular members of the General Education Committee will chair and serve as members of the subcommittees.
