1. Procedural motion from the Steering Committee to staff Senate standing committees (Mr. Keane)

MOVED that the persons listed below be appointed to Senate standing committees for the term specified:

    a. ACADEMIC CONDUCT COMMITTEE

Diane Norris (School of Nursing)--1998-99 to replace Carol Zenas (School of Nursing)

    b. CAMPUS DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE

        John Tower (School of Business Administration)--1998-2000

        Procedural motion: Debatable, amendable and eligible for final vote.

Comment: This motion represents a modest attempt to fill existing senate committee vacancies. As you can see by the note at the end of the agenda, a number of additional vacancies remain to be filled. Faculty who wish to volunteer for Senate standing committees may still make their wishes known to the Steering Committee.
