1. Motion from the School of Nursing to amend that School's Constitution (Ms. Zenas):
MOVED that the Senate recommend to the President and the Board approval of an amended "Constitution of the Oakland University School of Nursing.
First Reading: Debatable but not eligible for final vote at this meeting. Senate protocol holds that constitutions may not be amended on the floor. If corrections are needed, this document should be referred back to its sponsors.
Comment: The School of Nursing Constitution was last approved by the Board of Trustees in March 1987. This revised version (copy attached, with new language in bold type) introduces minor editorial changes, principally in committee names.

Faculty who wish to volunteer for Senate standing committees may still make their wishes known to the Steering Committee and will be considered as vacancies arise. When considering the overall balance of these committees, it is important to remember that most have student and administrative members as well as faculty elected by the Senate.
