1. Motion from the Steering Committee nominating certain faculty members to fill vacancies on Senate standing committees (Mr. Hough):

MOVED that the faculty nominated below be confirmed as appointed to committees and terms as specified:

a. Academic and Career Advising Committee
Jerry Marsh to replace Stephen Wright (1985-86)

b. Academic Policy and Planning Committee
William Jones to replace George Coon (1985-86)
Linda Hildebrand to replace Daniel Ring (fall 1985)

c. General Education Committee
Daniel Braunstein to replace Oded Izraeli (1985-87)

Procedural Motion: Debatable, amendable, and eligible for vote.

D. Information Items:

1. The principal item for the attention of the Senate at this meeting will be a progress report on the University's capital campaign. Messrs. David Rodwell, Vice President for External Affairs, and John Leslie, consultant to the capital campaign, will be present to discuss campaign organization, structure, progress, calendar, and goals.
