Comments:
1. The motion before the Senate is sponsored by the Center for Health Sciences. It was reviewed and approved by the late Academic Policy Committee and the late Academic Budget and Planning Committee last spring too late for inclusion on an agenda at that time. The Steering Committee decided that the proposal should be placed on the agenda without review by the successor committees. The motion has the support of the Provost.
2. The full and detailed Proposal may be found in the Office of the Center for Health Sciences. Attached to this agenda is a Summary Proposal dated December 1, 1977, (distributed to Senators only) of the full proposal containing all essential information in shortened form.
