Mr. O'Dowd chaired the meeting and called it to order at 3:30 p.m.

A. New Business

1. Motions from the Academic Standing and Honors Committee

a. Mr. Chipman moved, seconded by Mr. Coffman:

* THAT ITEMS b, c, d, AND e OF THE AGENDA BE MADE ELIGIBLE FOR FINAL VOTE AT THIS MEETING.

Procedural motion.

Motion approved.

b. Mr. Chipman moved, seconded by Mr. McKay:

* THAT THE FACULTY OF OAKLAND NOMINATE FOR THE BACHELOR'S DEGREE THE STUDENTS NAMED ON THE LIST DISTRIBUTED WITH THIS AGENDA.

Motion approved.

c. Mr. Chipman, moved, seconded by Mr. Hetenyi:

* THAT UNIVERSITY HONORS BE AWARDED TO THOSE PERSONS NAMED ON A LIST TO BE DISTRIBUTED AT THE SENATE MEETING.

Motion approved.

d. Mr. Chipman moved, seconded by Mr. Hetenyi:

* THAT THE FACULTY OF OAKLAND NOMINATE FOR THE DIPLOMA OF DRAMATIC ART STUDENTS NAMED ON A LIST DISTRIBUTED WITH THIS AGENDA.

Motion approved.

e. Mr. Chipman moved, seconded by Mr. Seeber:

* THAT THE DECEMBER, 1974 GRADUATION LIST BE AMENDED TO NOTE THE AWARDING OF THE BACHELOR OF/SCIENCE IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION TO MS. PATRICIA MOYLAN, STUDENT NUMBER 83373.

Motion approved.

2. Mr. McKay moved, seconded by Mr. Hovanesian:

* THAT THE MEMBERS OF THE UNIVERSITY SENATE BE COMMENDED FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING SERVICE RENDERED THE UNIVERSITY DURING THE 1974-75 ACADEMIC YEAR.

Motion approved.
