1. Election of the Steering Committee (Mr. Johnson).
Comment; Article V, section ix, states in relevant part:
The University Senate shall have a Steering Committee composed of the Provost of the University, who shall serve as chairman, and six other Senators elected at the first Senate meeting of the fall semester.... At least one Senator from the College of Arts and Sciences, one from the School of Engineering, and one from the School of Education shall sit on the committee, and no more than three seats shall be held by Senators from any one faculty.
2. Motions from the Academic Standing and Honors Committee (Ms. Orton):
a. that motions b., c., d., and e. be approved for final vote at this meeting. Procedural motion.
b. that the faculty of Oakland nominate for the bachelor's degree the students named on the list distributed with this agenda.
c. that the Senate find appropriate for University honors purposes the grade point averages set forth on a list to be distributed at the meeting.
d. that University honors be awarded to those persons named on a list to be distributed at the meeting.
3. Senate Membership
A list of the 1975-75 senate as currently constituted is attached. Not all seats have yet been filled.
