RE: Agenda for Meeting of April 15, 1963
The next meeting of the Senate will be on Monday, April 15, at 4:00 P.M. in Room 126-7 Oakland Center.
A. Old Business
1. Recommendation from the Academic Affairs Committee. (Mr. Matthews)
a. The paragraph on page 26 of the current Catalog regarding Public Law 229, be changed to read: "To fulfill the requirements of State law, (PL 229), all students must take:
1. Political Science (UC 052)
or
2. Any combination of two courses from the UC Social Science sequence and American History (UC054, UC 056, UC 058, History 214, History 215).
b. Change from the existing grading system to a 42-point grading system.
2. Recommendation from the Committee on Scholarships. (Mr. Obear)
a. The name of the Committee on Scholarships be changed to the Committee on Financial Aids.
b. The charge be changed to the following: "To consider and recommend policies governing all financial aid to students."
c. Membership will consist of four faculty members, the Director of Scholarships and the Director of Financial Aids.
