RE: Agenda for Meeting of April 11, 1963
The next meeting of the Senate will be on Thursday, April 11, at 4:00 P.M. in Room 126-7 Oakland Center.
A. New Business
1. Recommendation from the Dean of the University (Mr. O'Dowd).
The Faculty of Oakland University nominates the undergraduate students to receive the bachelors degree in course to be awarded at the First Commencement on Saturday, April 20, 1963.
(It is requested that the Senate authorize a final vote on the foregoing motion at this meeting.)
2. Recommendations from the ad hoc Committee on University and Departmental Honors. (Mr. Roose)
a. That University Honors be awarded to the highest standing 10% of the graduating class as indicated in the attached memorandum.
b. That Departmental Honors be awarded in accordance with the departmental recommendations listed in the attached memorandum.
(It is requested that the Senate authorize a final vote on the two preceding motions at this meeting.)
The next meeting of the Academic Senate will be on Monday, April 15, at 4:00 P.M. in Room 126-7 of the Oakland Center.
