TO: All Members of the Senate

FROM: Donald D. O'Dowd, for the Steering Committee

RE: Schedule of Future Senate Meetings arid Agenda for Meeting of March 25, 1963.

In order to consider all matters requiring Senate action prior to the end of Winter Semester, Senate meetings are scheduled for March 25, April 1, 8, 11, and 15. The meeting of April 11 will be for the purpose of recommending to the Chancellor and the Board of Trustees the conferment of degrees and honors upon candidates for the degree in April. The times and places of all but the next Senate meeting will be announced in subsequent communications.

The next meeting of the Senate will be on Monday, March 25, at 4:00 P.M. in Room 128-9 Oakland Center.

A. Old Business

1. Recommendation from the Academic Affairs Committee regarding Curriculum Adjustment. (Mr. Matthews)

Since these have been distributed to all Senators on two occasions they are omitted from the agenda. Please refer to your copies of the memorandum from the Academic Affairs Committee dated February 25, 1963.

B.  New Business

1. Report of Steering Committee Activities (Mr. O'Dowd)

a. Appointment of a three-person ad hoc University and Departmental Honors Committee. This committee is charged with carrying out the activities specified in the Senate legislation on Honors and recommending the awarding of Honors to specific graduating seniors. Membership: Dean Roose (Chairman)
