RE: Agenda for Meeting of October 22
A. Old Business
1. Consideration of Items C, D, and E listed in the 4th, 5th, and 6th paragraphs of the Minutes of Meeting of October 15. (Mr. Matthews)
2. Consideration of the motion introduced at the meeting of April 25, 1962.
Once a grade has been received by the Registrar, it may be changed only upon written petition of the instructor to the Committee on Instruction and approved by the Committee. (Mr. Matthews)
3. Consideration of the charge to the Publications Committee introduced at the meeting of April 27, 1962.
To consider and recommend policies for all student publications and University publications and advise the individuals responsible for them. The Publications Committee will consist of five members, one of whom will be from the staff of the Development, Alumni and Community Engagement Office. (Mr. O'Dowd)
B. New Business
1. Recommendation from the Student Affairs Commit tee--see attachment. (Mr. Beards lee)
2. Recommendations from the Steering Committee
a. Student publications that request the information may be given a summary of the actions of the Senate. (Mr. O'Dowd)
b. A member of the Senate who is unable to attend a meeting may empower another Senator to vote for him by giving to the second person a general proxy. This proxy is valid only for one pro-designated meeting and the written delegation of voting authority must be filed in the Chancellor's office by 5:00 p.m. of the working day preceding the meeting day. (Mr. O'Dowd)
