Re: Institute for Teaching and Learning Task Force
Once in a while an opportunity comes along to enhance the educational experience for both faculty and students. the consideration of an Institute for Teaching and Learning at Oakland University is such an opportunity. I am please that so many dedicated faculty and staff volunteered to participate on the ITL Task Force. although it was not possible to include everyone who volunteered on the committee, your ideas and input are still highly valued and the committee will be an interactive vehicle for discussion of the feasibility and desirability of creating an ITL at Oakland.
The Task Force will be charged with exploring models of teaching and learning centers currently operating at other universities, identifying the most important functions that such a center can and should serve at Oakland University, considering the feasibility of establishing an ITL at OU, and if such a center appears feasible, developing a plan for its establishment.
