Subject: Information Technology Strategic Planning Task Force
I am pleased to announce the appointment of the Information Technology Strategic Planning Task Force. Over the past few years Oakland University has experienced tremendous growth in the use of instructional and administrative computing. We are also preparing to create the programmatic foundation for the new Information Technology Institute. In order to provide the best possible technology environment for students, faculty and staff, I have charged the task force with:
- Reviewing the present information technology structures and resources
- Evaluating constituent needs
- Determining the role of the Information Technology Institute
- Developing and recommending a comprehensive strategic plan
Dr. Mukesh Bhargava, Associate Professor of Marketing, and Dr. Ranald Hansen, Interim Vice Provost of Research and Graduate Study, will co-chair the committee. The full committee membership is listed below. Your support of the task force's efforts will be very much appreciated.
The task force will begin its work in the next few weeks. If you have any questions or would like to provide input to the process, please contact Dr. Bhargava or Dr. Hansen.
