Enrollment Planning 1999-2010
The Oakland University Senate will begin discussing the document, Enrollment Planning 1999-2010: Draft Recommendation, at its November 16, 2000 meeting. That document, which was prepared by the Enrollment Planning Committee, as well as other relevant documents are linked on this page to permit Senators (and other interested parties) to prepare for that discussion.
Background: In October 1999, an Enrollment Planning Committee, with broad university representation, was appointed by the Provost . The 20 member committee was co-chaired by Vice Provost Robert Johnson and Professor Michael Sevilla. Committee members were chosen from administrators and faculty with university wide perspectives. The consulting firm of Lipman Hearne was hired to work with the committee to develop an enrollment planning document for campus-wide review and consultation. This document is a result of the combined efforts of the committee and Lipman Hearne. The document, item I. below, presents a brief discussion of the current enrollment patterns, proposes a vision for future enrollment targets in 2010, and suggests one possible approach to achieving that vision.
