College Day Program

The College Day program is designed for pre-college students as an introduction to higher education.  Students spend a day visiting Oakland University in order to learn about the feasibility of higher education and to meet faculty, staff and students.  The program can include many or all of the features below.  Please feel free to review a sample agenda.

 

Highlights Include: 

Academic and Career Explorations

Academic presentations provided by various professional schools and academic departments at Oakland University.

 

Informational Programs

Informational sessions in critical areas such as admissions and financial aid are presented to students.

 

Campus Tours

Program mentors accompany students, familiarizing them with Oakland University’s campus.

 

Lunch in Vandenberg Dining Center

This cafeteria-style dining facility offers a wide variety of all-you-can-eat menu options in a comfortable and convenient location.

 

Recreational Activities

Amenities include a 50-meter pool, racquetball/squash courts, gymnasium, table tennis and strength/cardiovascular training equipment.
