THE BUSINESS OFFICE
The Business Office of Facilities Management is the segment of the department which is the conduit between Facilities Management and the Oakland University community and outside vendors. This service allows the department to participate in short and long term strategic decision-making.
The Business Office is responsible for:
- Ensuring the integrity of the fiscal operations and records of financial transactions for daily operations, payroll, and construction projects.
- Facilitating the delivery of goods and service between Facilities Management and the Oakland University Community thorough the Work Control Center. (See also Work Order Requests).
- Maintaining the warehouse operations, which includes an inventory totaling $75,000.
- Providing moving and set-up services to the Oakland University Community which include Fall and Winter commencements and special events.
- Maintaining the historic integrity of the Meadow Brook Greenhouse.
